Thank you, to all the great people who took the time out of their busy schedules to seek information on my new classes. My dream was to create a class where artists could sharpen their skills and performances. Using my knowledge gained at Central Michigan University Theater, with over 15 years of continuous award-winning performances, along with the skills I learned while studying under Richard Lawson in Los Angeles, I created a class tailored for the artist who wants to take their skills to the next level of professionalism.
Students will participate in an 8 hour course designed to challenge the actor in ways they’ve never imagined. Actors will concentrate on performing a personal monologue/character, along with a scene incorporating all other fellow students. Tools for learning lines, techniques of working with other actors and auditioning skills will also be taught.
My methods of teaching are very unique. I played and coached football from childhood to college and still use many methods of coachable communication to get the point across. I use films of performances to aid in the student’s understanding of what is being presented. One of my favorite quotes of film watching is “the eye in the sky don’t lie!” There will never be a dull moment during our time together.
My classes are $200 for 8 hours, over 2, 4 hour days. We will need 8 hours to properly instill all the skills learned during instructions. Each class will have a new set of 5 students "The Starting 5."
A $50 non-refundable deposit is due at registration. The remaining $150 is due before the start of class one.
We will GET BETTER and PERFORM in this class. Actors are never alone when performing, even in solo scenes. Students who work hard and make a good impression on the class will be FIRST TO BE CONSIDERED for all of CRENSHAW PRODUCTIONS upcoming productions. You will also be personally introduced to all the producers in the city.

RULES
You must be on time.
If you arrive to class late you must stay outside of the classroom until class is at recess. There will be no knocking at the door or entering during an active class.
You must respect the advancement of others.
During the assessment of another student there will be no phones, no conversation, no additions to teaching or over reaction to scenes and performances. Respect is mandatory. Keep your comments to yourself.
Leave your ego at the door.
No one person in the class is better than any other person, including Dez. We are all actors striving to get better at our craft, and we will treat each other as such.
Classes can not be made-up.
This class is a fast moving train going a long distance. There is no class time available to catch an absent student up with the other students. You will also be depended upon from your scene partners. You should never want to let them down.
Have Fun
The atmosphere of class will be extremely exciting and energetic. Students learn the best when they have a safe and entertaining learning space. Come ready for an unforgettable experience.
